Safari Park 2014

The San Diego Safari Park has been our favorite field trip since we started homeschooling. This year it was even more enjoyable since we carpooled and spent the day with friends. This year we looked forward to seeing the new tiger enclosure as well as the four lion cubs. We also got a good look at the new cheetah cubs. It was a beautiful day and we had lots of fun.

Wow! Gorillas are BIG!

Daddy lion enjoying some quiet in the sun.

Junior wants to play; but dad's not having it.

So Junior curled up behind dad just so he could be close.

Good balance means good posture!

Our traditional gorilla statute picture with friends this year.

Handsome (and intimidating) fellow!

Brothers playing around

Wow! This guy's tall!

Mama Tiger - mother of the two males across the way

Feeding the water fowl is always on the agenda.

I loved this red headed duck.

We got a peak at the baby rhino while on the tram ride. Mom's only just recently allowed him to be seen.

Lemurs like to "move it, move it"!

This guy reminded me of Disney's Professor Ludwig Von Drake.

Soaking up the afternoon sun.

This tiger cost $799.99! Yikes!
