Sometimes it's too easy to get caught up in the textbooks and lesson plans of school and the chores of home. I neglect to just find time to enjoy my children. I was glad for the reminder to play. The smiles on their faces were a priceless treat!

Making Time to Play
After a few rough school days after our Easter vacation, I decided to step away from home for a bit and go to the park. The sunny, breezy day was the perfect backdrop for a picnic. We spread our blanket under the shade of a tree and shared lunch together. Then we played a few games of Carnium Lunch Bunch followed by an attempt to fly the kids' mini kites. The kids played on the playground for a bit and rode their scooters around while I read some of my book. When they were ready we headed home for a movie. It was just the refreshment we needed to press on for the remainder of the week.
