This year our field trips really lined up with our curriculum. We had the opportunity to go with our homeschool group to the California Science Center to see the Dead Sea Scroll exhibit as well as the 3D IMAX movie on Jerusalem. The scroll exhibit included the history of Israel as well as many artifacts. There weren't actually very many pieces of the scrolls to view; but it was still special to see the original writings of parts of Scripture. I also thought it was neat to read about and see things that we had studied. Sadly, we couldn't take pictures of anything inside the exhibit. It was a bit expensive, but I'm glad we were able to see the scrolls at least once.
After the exhibit and movie, we had some lunch and then visited some of the rest of the science center.
