We so often talk ourselves out of doing things because it's a long drive or it might be crowded. This time around we decided to take advantage of free admission to the Nixon Library on Presidents' Day. It was a bit crowded; but we still made it through the museum and learned a bit about President Nixon. Dennis summarized a lot of the information for the kids. It was like having our own docent! If we hadn't been hungry, we would have stayed and watched the presentation by the three "Presidents" - Lincoln, Jefferson, and Roosevelt. It was a nice family field trip and it counted as a school day even though it was supposed to be a holiday! (Check off another day to the school calendar! I love homeschooling!)
