A Not-So-Typical Homeschool Day

When Dad has a follow-up appointment at UCI, we get a family day. Here's a look at one of our not-so-typical homeschool days:

After dropping D off at UCI, the kids and I headed across the street to Krispy Kreme for donuts and school time. Here was the kids' reading for the day - Drabble comics by our favorite table.

Taking a break from the books to watch the donuts being made. I think this counts as social science - producing and consuming!

The glazer!

Yum!

Who wouldn't be happy to have a school day at here?

Donuts are a great companion for math and science!

Dennis walked over after his appointment. We finished up and then headed to Disneyland for the rest of the day.

Ellie got some physical fitness in dancing with Phineas and Ferb and the Fireside Girls.

Go Ellie!

Where's Perry?

Time for a thrill!

While Josh and I go for spin.

But wait, there's more spinning!

Time to slow down. . . .

and take a rest. . .

. . . before going on Tower of Terror! (Ellie and I rode it. It was her first time and she's not too sure if she wants to go again!)

This was a not-so-typical school day; but it was one of the better ones for sure! Can you tell we are enjoying this type of schooling experience?
