Ellie with one of her "Splendid 7" friends.
Josh is now a junior higher!
Teacher Martha was Josh's favorite teacher from church. She was there to see her grandchildren promoted.
Ellie's comic strip (on the right) was chosen to be displayed with art from the two art classes.
Beautiful inside and out. Ellie has matured and grown so much this past year.
For the 8th grade graduation, parents were asked to send in three pictures as well as a character trait that described our student. For Ellie we chose perseverance. Perseverance is steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. Romans 5:3-4 says that perseverance leads to character and character to hope. James 1:4 says to let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete and not lack anything. We have seen our daughter remain steadfast in her school work, in sports, and in her walk with the Lord. As a result we have seen her grow in character and begin to mature in may ways. We are very proud of her.
We chose the following pictures to highlight Ellie's life.
This one is one of my favorites. She was a big Winnie the Pooh fan as a little one.
This one was taken on the ferris wheel at California Adventure. We rode in one of the swinging cars. She loved it! This reminded us of her adventurous, fun spirit.
And a photo from the present. I took this one on Easter Sunday. Our girl has grown into such a beauty inside and out. We look forward to seeing all the Lord has for her as she enters high school.
Our fab four!
So thankful for the opportunity to homeschool these two!
